For me it has always been helping people get better. I nurture and I'm patient and I'm direct. Along my journey I have gathered tools that make me a better helper. I openly share my wisdom and heart. I believe in humble psychotherapy. I have seen the wild lifechanging gains made by clients who use my advice.

With my free time I enjoy working out, carpentry and crafts, gardening, hiking, whitewater canoeing, personal educational enrichment, sci-fi, sports. I raise a child. I'm somewhat basic with a splash of thrill seeking. I don't use alcohol, drugs or nicotine.

I am a typical U.S. male from the typical U.S. culture. Yet I'm highly educated and a second generation Unitarian Universalist - I'm inclusive by life-long creed. I see human souls inside each of us. I am not attached to a religiousness but I am a person of great faith. I am aware of my effortless fit into the US culture; that I am a white, cis-gender, heterosexual, masculine, male. I am a social justice advocate that blends in. I was primarily raised by a mother with two older sisters, my father was less present but engaged.

Before making myself available as a private practice psychotherapist I wanted to be truly seasoned. How can someone claim to be an expert without experience? I took employment in various programs, some state funded, some high-dollar cash-pay, some out-patient, some residential. I have worked with clients who have despicable histories as often as I have worked with people who were victimized but I have never met a person who I couldn't understand. We each have our positive intents; our deep desires are near-always worthwhile. I find its my passion to help people see their deep desires eventualize.
